Ensure the Epping Forest district badger population is kept as safe as possible from needless slaughter and that other more effective ways of preventing bovinetb are investigated /implemented. We ask this because we believe the current badger culling trial (which could be rolled out country wide in 2014)is ineffective in stopping the spread of bTB. The latest research shows that 96% of bTB is spread cattle to cattle. The government’s own funded scientific investigation (and the majority of scientific opinion) hold that a badger cull will not help reduce bTB.
