Following The Essex Highways Briefing which was held at the Civic Centre, Harlow on 25 February 2019, please find attached the slides from the presentation.

At its meeting on 26 February 2019, the Overview & Scrutiny Committee noted the withdrawal of a call-in relating to elements of the Council’s current Accommodation Strategy. At the request of members, the notes of an informal meeting held with the lead signatory to the call-in and the Chairman of the Committee are attached.

The Deputy PFCC, Jane Gardner, will be giving a presentation to all Members on Thursday 11^th April 2019 starting at 5.30pm in the Council Chamber, just before the Cabinet meeting at 7pm. The presentation is due to last about an hour from 5.30 to 6.30pm.

The presentation will be about the PFCC’s priorities and Crime Plan, which will likely include the Violence and Vulnerability Framework.

At its meeting on 2 April 2019, the Resources Select Committee will be considering proposals for the identification of the Council’s suite of key performance indicators for 2019/20.

The Chairman of the Select Committee would like to encourage all members that have an interest in the review and monitoring of performance against the indicators, to attend the meeting.

It is important to note, that when enforcement action has been authorised, this includes any subsequent action under Part VII of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, including a prosecution or an injunction.

The notification of decisions taken by individual Portfolio Holders is no longer included in the Council Bulletin.

All members of the Council receive automatic email notification of the publication of each individual Portfolio Holder decision and the call-in period for each decision commences immediately. Members wishing to call-in a decision should complete the attached call-in form and return it to Democratic Services before the expiry of five working days following the publication date of the decision. Members should refer to the Constitution (Article 6 - Overview and Scrutiny) for the rules of call-in.
