Notification of Consultation on changes to the use of Concessionary Bus Passes on Essex County Council run Park and Ride services May 2019 pdf icon PDF 788 KB

Essex County Council is consulting on the use of the older person’s bus pass on County Council run Park and Ride services in Essex.  We are also consulting on making a  reduced charge for people using the disability based bus pass before 9am on the Park and Ride services.  This consultation gives you the opportunity to let us know your views about the proposals.

 

The consultation commences from 08 May and will run until 31 July  2019,  it will be available online at : www.essex.gov.uk/park-and-ride-fares-consultation

 

Paper copies of the questionnaire will be available from the Sandon, Chelmer Valley and Colchester Park and Ride sites.

 

Posters will be displayed at the Park & Ride sites, please find a copy of the poster attached, we would appreciate it if you promote the consultation in your area via your website and/or newsletters.

Digital Leadership & Inclusion Workshops

We are working with Citizens Online, a digital inclusion charity to; inform our digital strategy and improve digital skills provision throughout the district.

 

As part of this project, we are running an interactive workshop for Members on Thursday 30 May, in CR1 from 14.00-16.00 to;

 

  1. Explore Digital Leadership as a concept and Digital Leader as a role.
  2. Understand how digital inclusion sits at the heart of digital transformation.
  3. Develop confidence and motivation in making a digital change in your organisation.
  4. Explore what makes a good digital organisation.
  5. Identify practical approaches and digital solutions to develop, maintain and embed organisational digital change.

Alongside this we are also running an interactive workshop for external organisations and Council staff on Thursday 30 May, 10:30-12:30 to;

 

  1. Share information from our initial research findings.
  2. Find out views on our initial findings - what are we missing?
  3. Explore the potential for collaboration and a joint action plan
  4. Have some fun with digital technology!

 

Our aim is to join up activity, share information and resources, encourage collaboration. We want to establish a Digital Inclusion Network in Epping Forest with a joint action plan to tackle some of the biggest problems being faced by providers in the area.

All members of the Council receive automatic email notification of the publication of each individual Portfolio Holder decision and the call-in period for each decision commences immediately. Members wishing to call-in a decision should complete the attached call-in form and return it to Democratic Services before the expiry of five working days following the publication date of the decision. Members should refer to the Constitution (Article 6 - Overview and Scrutiny) for the rules of call-in.
