2.

Community Crochet Group Poppy Appeal

Our community engagement officer Victoria Robertson runs a community crochet group in Loughton and in honour of Remembrance Sunday they’ve been hand-making poppies to sell in honour of those who died in battle.

 

The community crochet group will be in

  • Our canteen
  • Tuesday 5 November
  • between 11am and 1pm

 

Making and selling poppies, with all proceeds going to the Royal British Legion.

 

While you’re in the canteen you can even have a go at making your own with the help of a member of the team.

 

If you’re not around on the 5th, don’t worry you’ll still be able to get your hands on one of these unique poppies from reception at the Civic Offices.

Stronger Communities Select Committee

With the agreement of the Chairman, Members are advised that the next meeting of the Stronger Communities Select Committee will be on Tuesday 4 February 2020 at 7pm and not as publicised on the 21 January 2020.

Stronger Communities Select Committee - 4 February 2020

The Local District Commander for Essex Police, Chief Inspector Lewis Basford will be attending the next meeting of the Stronger Communities Select Committee, to report to Members with regard to current policing and crime issues across the Epping Forest District.

 

Members are therefore invited to submit questions for Chief Inspector Lewis Basford for the attention of Jackie Leither at democraticservices@eppingforestdc.gov.uk by the
31 October 2019, so they may be collated and submitted to Chief Inspector Basford before the meeting.

 

The Chairman would like to extend an invite to all Members to attend.

Whipps Cross Redevelopment Masterplan pdf icon PDF 3 MB

Barts Health NHS Trust are currently seeking views on potential locations on the existing site of Whipps Cross Hospital, for the provision of a modern health and wellbeing campus with a state-of-the-art hospital, which are outlined in a high-level ‘masterplan’ drawn up for the Trust as part of the business case for investment. The Trust’s masterplan report (attached), together with an on-line feedback form, is available at www.bartshealth.nhs.uk/future-whipps.

The notification of decisions taken by individual Portfolio Holders is no longer included in the Council Bulletin.

 

All members of the Council receive automatic email notification of the publication of each individual Portfolio Holder decision and the call-in period for each decision commences immediately. Members wishing to call-in a decision should complete the attached call-in form and return it to Democratic Services before the expiry of five working days following the publication date of the decision. Members should refer to the Constitution (Article 6 - Overview and Scrutiny) for the rules of call-in.
