1.

Extraordinary Council Meeting

With the agreement of the Chairman, an additional meeting of the Council will be held at 7.30pm on 18 March 2019, to consider a planning application for the formation of off-street parking on land at Marlescroft Way, Loughton (EPF/1058/18).

2.

Overview & Scrutiny Select Committee Framework - Review

The next meeting of the Task and Finish Panel established by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee to review the structure of the current select committee framework, will be held on 27 February 2019. If necessary, a final meeting of the Panel will be held on 14 March 2019, in order that the Panel can finalise its recommendations to be made to the Committee at its meeting on 26 April 2019.

District Development Management Committee

Please note that the meeting of the District Development Management Committee due to have been held on 27 March 2019, which was recently rescheduled for 23 April 2019, will now revert to 27 March 2019 in accordance with the adopted calendar of meetings. Civic Awards

Committee Management System

As members may have noticed, the former ‘Members Home Page’ facility of the previous website, has not been replicated in the architecture of the newly-launched website. However, the extranet login facility contained in the former Members Home Page remains available and can be accessed from the following link. Members may wish to save this link to their computer or mobile devices:

Members should be aware that essential maintenance will be undertaken to the committee management system between 22:00 on 8 February 2019 and 00:00 on 9 February 2019. This will result in a  loss of service that is expected to last no longer than 40 minutes between 22:00 and 23:00 on 8 February 2019, affect all intranet and public facing websites.

Epping Forest College

As members will be aware, Epping Forest College has become part of the New City College Group, a London-based skills and education provider organisation that operates several further education colleges across eastern London. New City College has recently agreed a request of the Council that a member representative with financial experience be appointed to Board of Governors of the College, subject to successful interview in accordance with the normal practice of the College. Officers are also working with New City College to seek the establishment of a local advisory body for the Epping Forest Campus College. At its meeting on 21 February 2019 the Council will be requested to consider the appointment (subject to interview) of a member representative to the Board of Governors of New City College and the local advisory body for the Epping Forest Campus College.

The notification of decisions taken by individual Portfolio Holders is no longer included in the Council Bulletin.

 

All members of the Council receive automatic email notification of the publication of each individual Portfolio Holder decision and the call-in period for each decision commences immediately. Members wishing to call-in a decision should complete the attached call-in form and return it to Democratic Services before the expiry of five working days following the publication date of the decision. Members should refer to the Constitution (Article 6 - Overview and Scrutiny) for the rules of call-in.
